parenting in Christ with Cameron cole and andrew russell, room 200

Parenting in Christ is a class to help parents lead their children out of the comfort and peace of the finished work of Christ and out of the wisdom we find in God’s word. The class offers concrete parenting direction but also aims to help parents move away from fear and control through the grace of Christ.

Units include:

  • Overview of the whole story of Scripture in nine weeks

  • Biblical themes

  • How to read each genre

  • Practical methods for any passage

  • Biblical theological reading

Small Groups, Wednesdays at 6:00 pm

St. Peter’s small groups exist to help people connect to God and to the body of Christ through the reading of Scripture and prayer, to provide an environment beyond Sundays for cultivating deeper relationships, and to be the most immediate context for care. During the fall and spring, we meet on Wednesdays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm in various homes throughout the city. Childcare is available.

Winter/Spring 2026 small groups will begin on Wednesday, January 21, and run through April 29.

If you’re new and are interested in participating, click the button below to submit an interest form or email Caroline Mann, who helps lead this ministry with Andrew Russell, our Pastor of Youth and Christian Education.

These two groups read through the same study but meet at different times (one from 7:00 – 8:00 am and the other from 5:30 – 6:30 pm) to offer flexibility for attendees to attend either group if their schedule changes from week to week. The morning group is led by Deacon Anna Russell and the evening group is led by Cindy Blackburn. This semester, the groups will be doing a study on the parables of Jesus. Contact Anna Russell for more information.
