Rev. Bryan White, Senior Pastor
Bryan White became the Senior Pastor of St. Peter’s in January of 2019. Having grown up in Virginia Beach, he attended the University of Virginia before completing The Fellows Program at The Falls Church Anglican. He went on to earn an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2011 and has since served at churches in Oxford, England, Washington, D.C., and Houston, Texas.
He’s married to Laurin, and together they have one son, Tucker.
Rev. CJ Ausmus, Assistant Pastor for Families and Youth
CJ Ausmus became an Assistant Pastor at St. Peter’s in July 2019. He was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, went to Lincoln Memorial University in Harrogate, Tennessee, and was a Fellow at The Falls Church Anglican in the Washington, D.C. area. He served on staff at The Falls Church Anglican prior to attending Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, where he earned an M.Div. in May 2019.
While a Fellow, CJ met his wife, Katherine, and they have been married since the summer of 2017.
Rev. Karen Mahler, Assistant Pastor of Pastoral Care
Karen Mahler is an ordained deacon and has served on staff as Assistant Pastor of Pastoral Care at St. Peter’s for seven years. She coordinates the pastoral care and prayer needs of the church and provides pastoral counsel and support, spiritual direction, and crisis counseling.
Karen’s husband, Ken, has been a leader in developing the seminarian intern program at St. Peter’s and is on the vestry and other ministries. They have two sons and a daughter-in-law, who live in Charlottesville, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
Amy Negrete, Church Administrator
Amy Negrete began her tenure at St. Peter’s in January of 2004. She grew up in Wilsonville (Shelby County) and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International/Intercultural Studies from the University of Montevallo. Her varied career includes administrative assistant for two CPA firms, a convention service manager at the Sheraton/BJCC and meeting planner/administrative assistant for a therapy services provider. She’s travelled in Mexico, Canada and Peru.
She’s married to Victor and, while they have no children, they have a plethora of cats, dogs and chickens.
Rebekah DeBoer, Children’s Minister
Rebekah DeBoer has served as the Children's Minister at St. Peter's since April of 2018. After graduating college in Ohio in 2011, Rebekah and her husband, Kyle, moved to Birmingham for Kyle to attend Beeson Divinity School. While working at Samford University, Rebekah completed the Master of Arts in Theological Studies program at Beeson Divinity School and graduated in 2016. Prior to her role at St. Peter's, Rebekah spent ten years working part and full time in athletic, academic, and residence life departments at two private universities.
Rebekah and Kyle have three young boys, Luke, Caleb, and Daniel.
Wen Reagan, Director of Worship Arts
Wen Reagan joined the St. Peter’s team in August 2019 as Director of Worship Arts. Born and raised in the Triangle area of central North Carolina, Wen completed undergraduate, seminary, and doctoral degrees at Duke University and has previously served congregations in North Carolina. When not leading at St. Peter’s, Wen serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Worship and as Associate Director for the Center for Worship and the Arts at Samford University, as well as a worship songwriter in the Cardiphonia network. Anna Russell, Youth Minister
Anna Russell has been the youth minister at St. Peter's since January 2017. She graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2016 and married her husband, Andrew, before moving to Birmingham to pursue an M.Div. at Beeson Divinity School. She is now in her last semester and will graduate in December 2019. She is also cat-mom to Al Roker, the world's cutest cat.
